The goal of the Haddonfield Crew Club is to fully engage every Haddonfield Memorial High School student who joins our rowing program and open up opportunities for increased student involvement in an ever-growing scholastic sport. We will strive to give each student a chance to excel at the highest-level possible and nurture the growth of the most essential elements of rowing and being a participant in a team sport. Most importantly, provide a fun and healthy environment to enjoy the sport while teaching the core values of honesty, fairness, hard work, commitment, and dedication to team over self.
Every student-athlete will be expected to maintain their academic standing while attending rowing practices and workouts regularly, to give their best effort as well as respect their teammates, families, community and especially themselves. Every student-athlete will be expected to take responsibility and be accountable for his or her actions and decisions. Each participant will be expected to respect the history and traditions of the sport and to represent themselves with dignity and honor. In return those athletes can expect to be treated in a fair and just manner and will receive every opportunity to practice, race and excel as a full member of the team.
We do however recognize that this is a competitive sport and that the club, its coaches and parent organizers will seek to field the most competitive boats possible and to race effectively against the top programs in our respective leagues while developing and promoting the growth of the individual student-athlete.
